If you’d remember, the Nothing Phone (1) supports 33W charging and the company did not include a charger in the box. Sources have also added that the Nothing Phone (1) Lite is going to ship with a 42W charger in the box. So what do we know about the Nothing Phone (1) Lite so far?

Nothing Phone (1) Lite with NO Glyph lights and in-box charger ... (Hindustan Times)

Nothing Phone (1) Lite is rumoured to have a much lower price and lose out on basic features. Here is all we know.

For those looking for a solid midrange Android phone, the Nothing Phone (1) Lite could make more sense than the standard model, given that not many would care for the LED lights and the wireless charging. However, Nothing as a young brand would want to have a wider foothold in the market at an early stage and a cheaper phone could help it garner a better market share. By losing the 900-LED equipped Glyph lights and wireless charging as well as sticking to 6GB RAM, it is said that Nothing could be able to sell the phone for a price as low as Rs. 24,999.

Nothing Phone (1) Lite in development: Here's what we know (91mobiles)

For reference, Phone (1)’s base variant – 8GB RAM with 128GB storage – retails at Rs 32,999. This would cut down the cost – justifying the “Lite” moniker – but the unique LEDs at the back are what make Nothing Phone (1) stand out, and removing it might not appeal as a worthy trade to potential buyers. Last month saw an introduction of Nothing Phone (1) – the first smartphone from the brand, Nothing – with a unique design.

The report reveals that the Nothing Phone (1) Lite will be almost identical to the Phone (1), but it will lack two features. Apart from these changes, the Lite (1) may not differ from the Phone (1). The device could be bundled with a 42W charger. Hence, it appears that Nothing will not be talking about the Phone (1) Lite even if it exists.

Nothing is expected to give a charging adapter inside the box, something that the Phone (1) does not have. But according to a new report, the company could bring a new cheaper Nothing Phone (1) model without the LEDs and wireless charging support.

Nothing Phone (1) Australia review: Tough competition for the Pixel ... (7NEWS.com.au)

A new smartphone brand has made a lot of noise in the tech world, but is it really ready for the prime-time? We find out.

Nothing Phone 1 is an impressive first release, and it will be exciting to see what comes next for this new brand. While the clarity is good, they don’t have a lot of bass. There are two colour profiles that can selected to suit your tastes, and these can be further tweaked with a colour temperature slider in the settings. Overall, it’s a practical choice, rather than something that has top-tier specs - and that could be part of the appeal for Nothing Phone 1. It has a mechanical whirring sound rather than a simple silent vibration, and this could be a turn-off for most people. The 50MP ultrawide (Samsung JN1) tends to be a little soft when pixel peeping. The LEDs can also be activated to provide an almost ring lighting effect for photos and video. These run around two camera lenses, the wireless charging coil and towards the USB-C charging port - which creatively doubles as a battery indicator. White may be the better option if this is something that would trouble you. Therefore, if you love trying out the latest gadgets and want something a little different - Phone 1 is right up your alley. Phone 1 is certainly a tech enthusiast’s product. The company has already released its own wireless earbuds called Ear 1 with a very striking see-through design language.

Nothing Phone 1 review: an Android with funky lights on its ... (The Guardian)

Novel design, good cameras, solid performance and battery life make a competitively priced package.

Four years of promised software updates is good but not the best, and relies on Nothing succeeding in fulfilling its commitment, which is not guaranteed for any new entrant. The glyphs can be lit up to create a fill light at night instead of using the flash, which is novel but produces a blue hue to the images. Its design is distinctive on the back and simple elsewhere. It is good to see something different and fun, though. The company plans to publish an environmental impact report for the phone, which it says has a carbon footprint of 58.5Kg CO2 equivalent. The main camera produces the best images that have generally good colour balance and detail. That’s decent but a year short of that offered by Google and Samsung’s competing devices, and well behind Fairphone and Apple’s six- to seven-year support. Setting up the phone without restoring my data fixed the problems. Different light patterns show who is calling, which app is notifying you or even different types of notification from the same app without having to see the screen. Nothing rates the battery for at least 800 full charge cycles while maintaining at least 80% of its original capacity. Only those mid-range phones with top-spec chips such as Apple’s iPhone SE or Google’s Pixel 6a will perform markedly better for the price. The recycled aluminium sides and flat OLED screen look remarkably similar to an Apple phone, leading more than one person to ask if I was holding an iPhone 13.
