Jared Leto and Jamie Lee Curtis have joined the cast for The Haunted Mansion, based on the popular Disney attraction.

According to One Take News, Golden Globe winner Jamie Lee Curtis has officially signed on for a key supporting role in Walt Disney Studios’ new live-action film adaptation of the Haunted Mansion, based on one of its most popular theme park attractions. Set for a March 10, 2023, theatrical release, the new Haunted Mansion movie is being produced by Dan Lin and Jonathan Eirich (Aladdin) of Rideback. Rideback’s Nick Reynolds will serve as executive producer. One Take News also confirmed the addition of Oscar winner Jared Leto, who has boarded the project to play the role of the Hatbox Ghost. They will be joining an already star-studded cast, including LaKeith Stanfield (Atlanta), Tiffany Haddish (Girls’ Trip), Owen Wilson (Loki), Rosario Dawson (The Mandalorian), and Danny DeVito (Batman Returns).

The cast of Disney's 'Haunted Mansion' live-action remake has continued to grow, as the company announced even more stars are joining the action.

The official movie synopsis reads: "In this mysterious adventure, a doctor (Dawson) and her 9-year-old son (Dillon), looking to start a new life, move into a strangely affordable mansion in New Orleans, only to discover that the place is much more than they bargained for. Desperate for help, they contact a priest (Wilson), who, in turn, enlists the aid of a widowed scientist-turned failed- paranormal expert (Stanfield), a French Quarter psychic (Haddish) and a crotchety historian (DeVito)." Also set to star in the film are: Tiffany Haddish ( Knives Out), Owen Wilson (Marley & Me, Masterminds), LaKeith Stanfield ( Get Out and Knives Out), Danny DeVito ( Matilda, Taxi, and It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia), and Rosario Dawson ( The Mandalorian, Daredevil, and Men In Black II).
