A masquerade-themed dinner event is coming to Asheville in which guests don't know the venue or menu until the day of the event.
“We’ve had so many chefs and other people who have been inspired by some of the things we have done in Asheville. There’s a lot to be said for that, and we’re really proud of that.” “Fundamentally, that’s important for me to do in my life,” Moore said. Moore invited his peers to cook side-by-side in various venues from an old farmhouse to The Orange Peel and for a worthy cause. “Bon Appetit has selected The Blind Pig Supper Club to feature,” Moore said. He experienced the phenomenon while studying culinary arts and working in the restaurant industry in San Francisco. A winner and runner-up will be selected to receive prizes in the costume contest. “It created some really special energy,” Moore said. “When it comes to the kitchen and when it comes to restaurants and chefs, it’s a very competitive environment. It will be the series’ first masquerade party. Part of the supper club’s appeal is the mystery and exclusivity. “You don’t know the menu or the location. You just have to trust us,” Mike Moore, founding chef and owner, said.
