Blackpink's "Pink Venom" became the most-viewed YouTube music video premiere of 2022, with 86.2 million views in the first 24 hours.

The top two spots are still held by BTS, which last year racked up 108.2 million views for “Butter” in the first 24 hours and [notched 101.1 million for “Dynamite” in 2020](https://variety.com/2020/digital/news/bts-dynamite-youtube-record-most-viewed-24-hour-1234743960/). One of the song’s in-your-face lyric: “Now it’s tonight, I’m a poisonous flower / After taking your soul” in Korean (자 오늘 밤이야 난 독을 품은 꽃 / 네 혼을 빼앗은 다음), followed by a nod to Taylor Swift in English: “Look what you made us do.” The song’s first few bars feature a geomungo, a traditional Korean stringed instrument. Blackpink fans, aka “Blinks,” also gave “Pink Venom” 6 million likes on YouTube during the initial release window.
