The alert status at the Marikina River was downgraded to second alarm on Monday morning after its water level went down the 17-meter mark.
The second alarm was raised shortly at 10:08 p.m. Marikina raised the first alarm at 9:49 p.m. The second alarm is raised to alert nearby residents to โprepareโ for evacuation when the water level hits 16 meters, while the first alarm is raised as a "warning" when the water level reaches 15 meters.
