This realization hit him while he was working in Wichita and saw a young man he had worked with when he was younger. He said sometimes he goes places and hears people comment that the bathrooms aren’t clean. In addition to being an adoptee, Rich was familiar with the work because his parents were foster parents when he was growing up. He lived in Wichita and Iowa and moved back to Manhattan in 2012.

“Getting To Know …” is a weekly feature spotlighting people making a difference in the lives of others. A: We’re a hidden jewel in Schenectady and we should have had so much more coverage. A: HealthySteps is a program embedded into pediatric offices and hospitals, where you have a social worker, who is the HealthySteps specialist, and they then become part of that integral team. So that’s the most challenging thing we face. We had stuff delivered to the homes. We need recognition, we need coverage, we need money. Growing up in a family of 12, I was one of the younger ones – I was the 11th child, actually, of the 12. We made sure that they got food and they got diapers. We split the clinic into morning and afternoon sick visits and well-check visits, so we could see all the kids. We never left the kids behind. Making sure that they have the transportation, and follow-up appointments, all of those things. HealthySteps is a national program created by the nonprofit Zero To Three, however, Ellis is the only local healthcare facility that offers it, according to McDaniel.

RESULTS: September 2022 Social Worker Licensure Examination (Rappler)

PRESS RELEASE: The Professional Regulation Commission announces that 2955 out of 4723 passed the examination.

Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals. Those who will register are required to bring the following: downloaded duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, notice of admission (for identification only), two pieces passport sized pictures (colored with white background and complete name tag), two sets of documentary stamps and one piece short brown envelope. The date and venue for the oathtaking ceremony of the new successful examinees in the said examination will be announced later.

THE Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has announced that 2,955 examinees hurdled the licensure examination for social workers held this September ...

PRC said the schedule/s for the online registration will be announced at a later date. "The date and venue for the oath taking ceremony of the new successful examinees in the said examination will be announced later," the commission added. These are the Asian Social Institute (all 10 examinees passed); Ateneo de Davao University (all 20 examinees passed); Bicol University-Tabaco (all 25 examinees passed); Caraga State University Butuan City (all 85 examinees passed); La Verdad Christian College (all 13 examinees passed); Leyte Normal University (all 67 examinees passed); Norte Dame of Marbel University (all 13 examinees passed); and University of the Philippines Diliman (all 19 examinees passed).

New guidance from the Centre of expertise on child sexual abuse seeks to help social workers help schools respond to harmful sexual behaviour.

Rough estimates suggest that a child in England spends over a thousand hours a year in school, so it is not surprising that teachers and those in education settings are often the first to identify and respond to incidents of harmful sexual behaviour. It is this experience, and those of my colleagues at the Centre of expertise on child sexual abuse (CSA Centre) who have been in Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility, but I believe it is social workers who are best placed to support teachers and other professionals in this task. Part of our role was to offer consultation to social workers, foster carers and schools when there were concerns of harmful sexual behaviour. While schools need to respond better, they also need our help. We still see sexually harmful behaviour as different from other types of harmful behaviour and all too often our perceptions and discomfort result in poor responses to children. As a social worker there were many occasions when a child or young person on my caseload displayed sexual behaviour that was of concern to others. Later in my social work career, I managed an in-house specialist service which worked with children and families affected by child sexual abuse. With these factors in mind, social workers working across a range of teams are highly likely to come across this issue within their practice. Having clear advice and guidance meant professionals in all settings could respond more confidently to protect and support both the children who had been harmed, and those who had harmed. MANILA, Philippines — The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has announced that 2,955 examinees passed the latest licensure test for social workers.

In a statement posted on its website, the PRC said test results were processed within three working days following the last day of examination. On the second and third spots were Nevien Siquira Dandoy of Colegio De San Francisco Javier and Fiona Yvannie Murillo of Leyte Normal University, respectively. As for the date and venue of the board passers’ oath taking ceremony, the PRC said details will be announced in the coming days.
