Rustin Clyde Villanueva (Baron Geisler) was the front man of a rock band. He and his bandmates led a hedonistic rock star lifestyle with alcohol and drugs.
He learned that Yumi's mother passed away three years ago in a car accident, and her father was a worthless Filipino drug addict who abandoned his family. Having genuine rapport with a child co-star is never easy, but Geisler pulled it off nicely, enough to elicit tear-jerking emotional connection with his audience when it counted. One night after a gig, his good friend Diego (Alwyn Uytingco) died at age 40.

The true star of the movie is Althea Ruedas as Yumi. Actor Baron Geisler’s Rustin is not easily likeable because of his drug addiction and reckless behaviour. However, when his identity is revealed (as it should), the twist in the climax isn’t what we expect. The runtime is of 106 minutes. Doll House has a weak third act and takes away every sentiment we felt while watching the father-daughter duo together. It is directed by Marla Ancheta, and the story is by Onay Sales.

With Rachelle off on a work trip and poor Bok duped by this man, when the truth is inevitably unveiled, chaos ensues. Performing in a rock band, Rustin works hard and plays hard in equal measure, with a steady cocktail of alcohol and drugs to keep him going. The story begins with a glimmer of the future, with a young woman arriving at a nursing home to find her father the worse for wear. Well, only his estranged daughter Yumi who he decided to abandon while his wife Sheena was pregnant to pursue a life of playing rock music.

Rachelle and Bok arrive the next day at the place where Yumi’s auditions were to be held. After this brief conversation, he goes back to Yumi who he brought him to the cafe. He leaves the place and sits on a bench in the street drunk. Rustin promises to give it to the little girl only after he finishes it. After going back to the apartment, he takes a walk on the street which reminds him of the time he proposed to Sheena. The next day, when he has to babysit again, he takes her to a local restaurant, where he has to meet the band leader to discuss his employment. He is in talks for a gig at the local pub, but he is not sure whether he wants to stay in Rotterdam for long enough. But when they come to know that he has overdosed, any trust he might have earned is dashed to bits, just like the dollhouse he had been building for Yumi. All in all, even though the performances were exceptional, the movie was boring, drab, and vague. The movie is set in a beautiful location. Such an amalgamation makes him stand out and proves to be worthy of the role of the protagonist. Rustin’s addiction to drugs and alcohol creates quite a few hurdles in the movie. Yumi and Rustin share a deep bond until the end. However, due to his shortcomings in the past, he cannot reveal his true identity.
