Andrey Rublev played in another semi-final this week but unlike Astana where he lost, here he was able to get the win over Thiem 6-4 6-4.

Rublev set himself up to pressure Thiem quite a bit at 5-4 and he was able to carve out a break point. It was a solid match overall but Rublev proved better once more against Thiem who has now lost three times in a row to the Russian. It worked for a while but Rublev got broke at 5-3 when serving for the set.
