Guest Timothy Gordon: “Real men, fashioned under Christ, need to rise back up and start taking back Western civilization”. Written by Media Matters Staff.
A sin of omission on the part of Adam and a sin of commission on the part of Eve. Remember the original sin between Adam and Eve in the garden is the sin of feminism. Do you think this kind of pagan idea of, you know, the strong dominate the weak, you know, vae victis, you know, woe to the vanquished. This is the disordered and what ought to be the rare instance of such a thing. Why do the feminists and those who have accepted the premises of the feminists always presume that to be masculine or to be kingly is always to be tyrannical? What is shocking in a post-Christendom world is that no men are rising up to defend the weak.

The second area of contestation is the ongoing spate of arrests of those who protest even peacefully against the corruption and mismanagement in the government that led to the collapse of the economy. The restructuring of the economy is going to be one that will place large burdens upon people at multiple levels and will best be introduced to them through a bipartisan approach. Those who want a corruption and mismanagement free society are being punished and roughly treated while those who are the perpetrators continue to hold high positions in parliament and the government. The 20th Amendment and now the 22nd Amendment states that the President can dissolve parliament in two and a half years. This power will now be transferred to the Constitutional Council over which the president will have influence but not unilateral power, as they will be selected by the president together with the prime minister and the opposition parties as well. The passage of the 22nd Amendment to the constitution came as a surprise. These scholars are yet to receive justice and their “Her + Stories” are not discussed or considered a part of the history of Sri Lankan Universities. The University Grants Commission has issued directives to establish a “Centre for Gender Equity and Equality” at every University in the country. Imposing a dress code is symbolic of power and, in the case of women, it is symbolic of the power of Patriarchy. The focus of First Wave Feminism was to promote gender inclusivity in politics, demanding voting rights and representation of women in governing institutions. Feminist schools have aligned with the main political streams such as Liberalism, which suggests reforms and Socialism, proposing radical changes to the patriarchal structure, to end the subordination of women in economic, political and social spheres. Later, the Ceylon University Act No 01 of 1972 was to set up the institutional framework for the universities, which reflected and further entrenched colonial and patriarchal values in university curricula, and the administration system.
Several months ago, I read a book titled, “The Second Wave, Feminist Theory,” written by Linda Nicholson, an American feminist scholar.
In the second wave of the women's liberation movement, the main tasks were attempts to theorize the causes and origins of women's oppression. In the U.S., what was called the "women's liberation movement" evolved out of the New Left movement in the late 1960s. Since the late 18th century, women have been given many nominal equal chances and opportunities with men in lots of social sectors, including law, institutions, education and employment. Of course, there still remain plenty of problems regarding gender imbalances and inequalities such as unequal pay, the lack of women in high government and corporate positions, unstable women's employment and ― worst of all ― the increase in sex crimes against women. If women are equal to men, women should have equal opportunities to men. No matter how hard sophisticated theorists may explicate causes of women's oppression, they normally depict incidents of the far past. The women's liberation movement is usually dubbed the "second wave," as the first wave started in the 19th century in connection with movements to gain women's voting rights and the slavery abolition movement in the U.S. To my knowledge, probably the first of such attempts could be seen as the famous "The Origin of Family, Private Property and State" written by F. So, I have a feeling that such theories might not be able to explain and solve current women's issues, as modern society has changed so much from those past societies. This fact is true because no one theory can explain every aspect of human lives across the world. To be more precise, the New Left movement was influenced and affected by the May 1968 movement in France. No woman or female scholar can insist that her feminism is the right, perfect feminism.
