There will be scattered showers across the country over Halloween weekend while New York will have mostly comfortable temperatures and sun with some clouds.
Temperatures will range from the mid-60s in the New York City tri-state area to around 70 degrees in Norfolk, Virginia, and Atlanta to the mid-80s in Miami. There will be plenty of sunshine across the central and western U.S. If the goblins in your home are celebrating Halloween on Oct. It will be mostly cloudy farther south along the East Coast in cities such as Norfolk, Virginia, and Atlanta, and temperatures there should peak in the lower to mid-60s. โSo, weโll have to maybe add in a few ponchos to those Halloween costumes. Atlanta, weโll watch for a few showers in your metro area.โ
HPE has booked another supercomputer win, this time providing compute power for the Meteorological Service Singapore (MSS) to deliver improved weather ...
The computational power also allows higher resolution models to deliver improved weather and climate data. One such example is a coupled ocean-atmosphere-land-wave modeling system (cSINGV). [KAUST](https://www.theregister.com/2022/09/27/saudi_arabia_hpe_supercomputer/), and the [LUMI](https://www.theregister.com/2022/06/13/finlands_amdpowered_lumi_arrives/) supercomputer in Finland. At least that's the intention. It will help increase forecast accuracy by enabling improved numerical model configurations and analysis of ground and space-based weather observations with the agency's SINGV numerical weather prediction system. SINGV was developed by the Centre for Climate Research Singapore (CCRS) at the MSS, in conjunction with the UK Met Office and others, and is configured specifically for weather forecasts and climate applications in Singapore and the surrounding region.
