As one of the team’s best and most important defenders, De’Anthony Melton is leading the charge to tighten up on that end of the floor. He struggled to score, especially inside the arc and during crunch time but did a great job of manipulating the defense and finding open shots for his teammates.

76ers De'Anthony Melton Reveals He Supported Clippers Over Lakers (Yardbarker)

De'Anthony Melton might be an LA native, but that doesn't mean he's automatically guaranteed to be a Lakers fan. The 24-year-old guard had a shocking answer ...

"As long as he stays healthy, the bidding is going to start at $500M and it's just a matter of how high it's going to go." You said [Nikola Jokic] was the hardest person to guard in the league. I think he helped me gain that confidence that I gained later in the year with his confidence in me." Lazard, meanwhile, says Rodgers’ eventual trade to the Jets is a “big reason” why he signed with New York in the first place. The Jets seem to be positioning themselves for the mega trade while also compiling a roster perceived to be of Rodgers’ liking. And then knowing that Aaron was very highly interested (in going) to the Jets kind of gave me the piece of mind to be able to go there.” The Jets would like to get this deal done prior to the 2023 NFL Draft in April. "Part of ability," the saying goes in sports, "is availability." The Huskies will take on the winner of No. The Huskies dominated the Bulldogs, rolling to a blowout 82-54 win to make NCAA Tournament history. Williamson's absence is the biggest reason for the Pelicans to consider dealing the former No. Zion Williamson is a phenomenal talent, a top 15 or maybe even a top 10 player in the NBA. "Obviously, you got to beat the Lakers.

And the Sixers needed all of them as they escaped with a 133-122 overtime win over the Los Angeles Lakers, a game that featured twists and turns that were ...

[Tobias Harris](https://theathletic.com/nba/player/tobias-harris-UpRf034bQRbHK4vT/) threw away a ball as he looked for Embiid while inbounding. The Sixers regrouped in overtime to put the Lakers away. Some of that was due to Embiid’s offensive execution, but Melton came up with a couple of smaller winning plays as well. And to top it off, [Matisse Thybulle](https://theathletic.com/nba/player/matisse-thybulle-FecSqxC1FV1DRBU7/) committed the cardinal sin of fouling a 3-point shooter when the Sixers were up three points. Harden, the team’s point guard and the player entrusted to get them good shots and take care of the ball, had live-ball turnovers on consecutive possessions that led to five Lakers points. Rivers said that according to the team’s internal charting, Melton finished with half of the team’s deflections. That was again the case Friday (minus-9 in nine minutes without Embiid), as the Harden-led unit with They led by 16 points with 4 minutes, 5 seconds left in the fourth quarter and were a couple of missed free throws from blowing that margin completely. After the game, Melton had his jersey with him and was thinking of his mother. Melton finished with a career-high 33 points on 11-of-16 shooting from the field and 8-of-12 shooting from beyond the arc to go with seven steals and four rebounds. The Sixers ran the same isolation play Friday and Embiid, who got into the paint and collapsed the defense, found Melton for a key 3-pointer late. As most of his teammates were getting up shots or playing one-on-one, Melton was working with a trainer.
