Pimblett improved to 20-3 as a professional and 4-0 in the UFC with three stoppages. Pimblett also revealed that he injured his foot early in the fight and that he wanted to work with Gordon on supporting charitable efforts. The strike count was low on both ends, but Pimblett landed a handful of solid elbows and knees with his back to the fence. Gordon held Pimblett against the cage for the majority of the round, but he landed barely any strikes of substance. Pimblett has a tendency to keep his chin high and Gordon made him pay for it early and often. All three judges scored the fight 29-28 in favor of Pimblett, but some judges awarded each fighter different rounds.
Yahoo Sports scored it 30-27 for Gordon, but all three judges (Doug Crosby, Chris Lee and Ron McCarthy) had it 29-28 for Pimblett.
Dricus Du Plessis came out with a blistering start but had to endure a grueling battle before securing a rear-naked choke to beat Darren Till at UFC 282.
With five minutes remaining, Du Plessis was showing more urgency as he began sticking a jab in Till’s face, which backed off the Liverpool native. Till popped the South African fighter with a couple of straight punches that snapped Du Plessis’ head back and the momentum in the fight really began to shift. Another takedown followed with Du Plessis getting the back to begin working for a rear-naked choke while also hammering with punches. From there, Till was forced to roll over to avoid damage and Du Plessis seized the opening to apply a neck crank/rear naked choke that earned him the tap just a split second later. Typical recovery time for an ACL injury in the knee is typically one year or longer. “The gas tank can never be empty,” Du Plessis said after a grueling battle.

He lost if you think he won that fight you’re a fake. The state commission picks and controls the judges in place. This is a marketing skeem bull shit I won the first two rounds and coasted in the third. [@UFC]doesn’t control the judging. Can’t blame the UFC and say “they got Paddy their money train beat”. Too far along for it to be this much of an issue. And a 1-2. And a high kick. [December 11, 2022] It’s a miracle they kept him winning all the way till tonight.
The five-round battle ended in an unsatisfactory manner after many believed Ankalaev had done enough to win.
Pimblett with a nice shot to the body, Gordon responded with a left to the head and knee to the body. Pimblett hit a low kick and Gordon returned fire with a one-two. A huge step in left hook landed for Gordon but Pimblett was unphased. Pimblett immediately took the center, landed a body kick and threw one to the head. Gordon landed a takedown and took the back but was too high and slipped off. Ankalaev pressed forward and landed a decent left straight from the southpaw stance. And now it's time for the final fight of the night. Both guys threw simultaneously with Ankalaev landing a nice right hand on the exit. Ankalaev isolated Blachowicz's leg with a grapevine and softened Ankalaev up with punches. Ankalaev landed a nice overhand right but Blachowicz responded with a hard body kick and more leg strikes. Ankalaev closed the round with a few hard punches. The impact landed by Ankalaev was more severe in the fifth round than it was in the fourth.
During the post-fight interview in the octagon, No. 3 Blachowicz (29-9-1) walked over to fourth-ranked Ankalaev (18-1-1) and told him he deserved the belt.
The UFC ordered Ankalaev and Blachowicz to fight for the vacant belt and it appeared that Ankalaev had done enough to win. But the judges' couldn't agree ...

Check out who took home a bonus for their performance at UFC 282 in Las Vegas.
In the final round, Till led the action initially, but Du Plessis took the fight to the ground, where he slapped on a rear-naked choke to get the finish. Topuria kept his aggression high throughout the fight, and eventually took the grappler to the canvas and finished the fight in his opponent’s world. The 18-year-old impressed in his debut with the promotion by making quick work of Jay Perrin in the feature prelim of UFC 282. Ponzinibbio weathered Morono’s early success, and found the finishing blow from a hard right hand in the third round. The result was his first finish under the UFC banner, and his first Performance of the Night bonus. The win snapped a two-fight skid for “Bigi Boy,” who also takes home the third POTN bonus of his 11-fight UFC tenure. The victory snapped a three-fight skid for Shahbazyan, and he also takes home the first $50,000 award of his eight-fight UFC career. For his efforts, the youngest winner in UFC history takes home a $50,000 bonus. Rozenstruik took one punch from his opponent before unloading a barrage of strikes to end the fight in just 23 seconds. After losing the first round, Billy Quarantillo completely flipped the script on Anthony Hernandez and put the finishing touches on the fight in the second. The 21-year-old Dana White’s Contender Series veteran won his UFC debut with a solid finish and takes away a $50,000 bonus as well. The 12-fight event saw 10 fights result in early finishes.

Darren Till reacts to his UFC 282 stoppage loss to Dricus Du Plessis in the event's Fight of the Night.
“I hope you enjoyed the fight and all, it was a bit of a war. “I felt like I had him there, I was making him switch. “Now, I don’t know what to do properly, but I think i’m going to have a little time off from the UFC, I don’t know, and just rethink stuff. Prior to that, Till lost a competitive decision to former champ [Robert Whittaker](https://www.mmafighting.com/fighter/1900/robert-whittaker) at UFC on ESPN 14 over a year earlier. I ain’t finding my right way at the moment, and it’s crazy because when I’m in the gym sparring with the best guys in the world, I really am in [my] element, and then I step in the octagon and I just can seem to put things together. After a completely one-sided opening round for Du Plessis, Till was able to turn the tide in the second during the back-and-forth battle, before the former KSW champion put the one-time UFC title challenger away in the final round.
Paddy Pimblett is "baffled" and "annoyed" after his controversial UFC 282 win over Jared Gordon.
“The control time, in the last round, yeah, he controlled me against the fence, but he didn’t do anything with it. Some people have said to me, they think I won all three rounds, even the third, because he never did anything with the control time. Twenty-three of 24 media outlets scoring the fight gave it to Gordon, with a little less than half giving the American the 30-27 shutout. “But I’ll be honest, I thought I won the first two, and I took the third round off. There’s a likely another conversation ahead about the MMA scoring and how judges look at the action they’re seeing. “Nowadays, fights get scored off damage, and I’ve got a cut lip, that’s it,” he said. The lesson for Pimblett was clear in retrospect: never bank on judges’ interpretation of the action. “You don’t see that at all from any others, because it’s 15 minutes long.” Whatever the split for and against him, the unanimous decision was the inescapable fact for the U.K. “I’m bit annoyed after people saying they thought I lost,” Pimblett said during the UFC 282 post-fight show. I think I was landing the better knees and little short shots in those positions when he had me pushed against the cage.” But I’m 4-0 in the UFC – haters going to hate, you’ve got to get on with it.”

The final report card is in for the judges, headliners and rising phenom Raul Rosas Jr.
After subbing Mitchell in the second round of their bout, he is on a collision course with the featherweight title.
