For now, the hope is that this game vs. Such a stretch of health has been incredibly illusive during the Kawhi Leonard and Paul George era, so perhaps this game vs. The Clippers have done well to survive in the absence of so many key players this season, but they are certainly ready to get healthy.

Hornets vs Clippers Picks and Predictions: L.A. Beats Down on ... (Covers.com)

NBA odds, picks, and predictions for the Charlotte Hornets at Los Angeles Clippers on December 21. NBA betting best bet and free pick analysis.

But again, the common theme here is that they fall flat following a win, and their totals record is a bit more even in that split (4-3 to the Over). They have gone 10-8 to the Under in games with totals at or below tonight's number of 225. Since Leonard's return on December 5, the Clippers have gone 4-4 on totals. Los Angeles allows the fourth-lowest percentage from deep on the season (33.8%) and that mark has even improved since Kawhi's return (32.1%). However, they are one of the league's worst teams coming off of a win, having gone 2-5 ATS in that split. The Hornets are 14-16-1 ATS this season but have fared better as road underdogs (7-5-1). Los Angeles is an even 16-16 against the spread this season and is also 5-5 as home favorites. The Hornets are second in the league in 3-point attempts since his return (44.3 per game) but they have shot at the fifth-worst clip during that time (33.1%). But that win may have raised the guard of fifth-seeded Los Angeles who will host the Hornets on Wednesday night. On the season, Charlotte ranks 13th in 3-point percentage allowed, but since They'll face off against the Los Angeles Clippers who are winners in three of their last four, catapulting into the five seed of the Western Conference and within two games of the top spot. The Hornets have just eight wins through mid-December and have only strung together consecutive wins once this season.

NBA best bets: Best prop bets for Clippers vs. Hornets (Yardbarker)

The 8-23 Hornets finally got back on track with a win, and will now take on the Los Angeles Clippers in LA with a chance to win their second game in a row.

Sometimes it’s flashy, sometimes it’s not, but Ball is going to share the wealth and it’s up to his teammates to help him in knocking down the looks he generates. He’s going to score and he’s going to rack up assists in doing so. The Hornets' games are much closer – and even a win – when Ball is picking up assists alongside his points. Even if this game is low-scoring, Oubre could still very easily knock down a few three-pointers. As mentioned, Ball is the driver and fuel of the Hornets' offense. I like them to cover the 8-point spread. He’s averaging 26 points per game in his four games played in December. LaMelo Ball gives the Hornets life and is their only bit of hope. He’s gotten four games of action and covered in all four games. Let’s take a look at this matchup and the best prop bets for it. This month, Oubre is knocking down an average of 2.8 threes per game. LA is (16-16) against the spread but should be able to cover tonight. The Hornets are (14-16-1) against the spread despite their horrible record. Charlotte is dead last in the NBA in three-point percentage and went 10-31 in the win over Sacramento. However, the Clippers are the lowest-scoring team in the NBA averaging just 107 points per game. They allow just 107.6 points per game which is 2nd in the NBA behind the Cleveland Cavaliers at 104.4. Charlotte hasn’t been able to stay healthy for the majority of the season and that is a major reason why they can’t win games. LA is coming off a win against the Washington Wizards 102-93. Terry Rozier is doubtful for tonight with a hip contusion and Cody Martin is out with a knee injury. To make matters even worse, Charlotte has allowed 117.5 points per game which is 28th in the NBA. Charlotte is struggling big time, however, they are coming off a win against the Sacramento Kings 125-119. As for the Clippers, they are seeing a lot of success recently with an (18-14) record. They are just (8-23) as it’s been a disaster to start the season.

It certainly helped Nicolas Batum’s time on the court on Wednesday, as he shot 7-for-10 exclusively from three-point range. Kawhi’s quiet display was probably to be expected given his recent heroics, which John Wall is another that has featured a lot recently and also had a slow shooting night in just 19 minutes on the court. Robert Covington can’t be blamed for not feeling that Christmas cheer emanating from downtown L.A., playing just three minutes during garbage time last night.
