The Phoenix Suns' homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Charlotte Hornets at 9 p.m. Phoenix can attribute much of their success to point guard Allowing an average of 118.90 points per game, the Hornets haven't exactly asserted themselves on the defensive end. Craig had some trouble finding his footing against the Indiana Pacers this past Saturday, so this was a step in the right direction.

The Charlotte Hornets (13-35) visit the Phoenix Suns (24-24) on Tuesday night. Action tips off at 9:10 p.m. ET. Below we continue our NBA odds series with a ...

Johnson averaged 13.1 PPG prior to getting injured and his career-39% from three gives the Suns a huge weapon given their injuries. The Suns continue to boast a strong defense that ranks seven in points allowed (112 Opp. While they rank just 25th in scoring for the season (112.4 PPG), the Hornets rank in the top 10 in points in the paint and fast-break scoring. Over their last four games, Plumlee has averaged 19.8 PPG, 10 RPG, and 3.8 APG while shooting an astronomical 78% from the floor. While his production varied for much of the season, he’s been red-hot in recent games and the catalyst for their winning streak. The skilled big man is highly efficient with a 67% shooting percentage and just 1.5 turnovers per game. With Ball banged up in recent games, Rozier has thrived as the No. Regardless of Ball’s status, big man Mason Plumlee is the biggest X-factor in whether or not the Hornets cover tonight. The Hornets covered 40% of their games while 52% went over the projected point total. That being said, he missed last night’s games and is truly up in the air tonight. The Suns covered 52% of their games while 53% went under. Charlotte features a frisky offense that has eclipsed 120 points in four of their last six games.

Hornets vs. Suns prediction and odds for Tuesday, January 24 ... (Valley of the Suns)

The Suns are finally starting to get healthier. With Chris Paul and Cameron Johnson returning to the lineup Phoenix will keep winning games.

It’s obviously a small sample with Paul back, but I think that everything is slowly starting to fall back into place for last season’s one seed in the West. Even though Johnson wasn’t spectacular, he gives the Suns so much more depth on the wing. That’s more than serviceable, especially against Charlotte who has little to no threats in the front court.

Phoenix Suns take care of business, pick up 4th straight win vs ... (Arizona Sports)

The Phoenix Suns need to, as their point guard Chris Paul says, start to pile on wins. They are now doing just that.

Johnson already has a solid foundation to come off in those looks with Paul, since he was a Sixth Man of the Year finalist last year and was featured there prior to this season. Mikal Bridges came up short of his sixth straight game of 20 plus points with 18 in 30 minutes but the foot stayed on the gas with a 7-of-16 shooting performance. Once those two rest, a combination of the prior trio (Ayton/Johnson/Paul) is mixed back in. But once Paul goes for his typical rest around the six-minute mark of the first and third quarters, with Ayton and Johnson soon following, that’s when Bridges (alongside Booker) can really start establishing himself. “The intensity that he plays with, it gives everybody energy,” Williams said of Biyombo. “We understand reads and stuff off of every play call and everybody’s just on the same page so the organization is a lot higher level than when we are in a little bit more of a scramble.” “To see that ball come off his hands as easy as it did tonight was pretty cool,” Williams said of Johnson. It sounds a bit cliche but it really comes down to the Suns just focusing on themselves and playing their brand of basketball consistently. It was an eight-point game after the Hornets’ zone stalled the Suns out. He ended up with 14 points, five rebounds and 11 assists, showing comfort in getting to his midrange spots. Charlotte desperately missed Ball and gave off Suns vibes with how much it lacked in terms of ball-handling. It set the tone for us.”
