The series has regularly been one of Japan's best-selling manga. From April 2018 until May 2022, Shiina published the Kimi ni Todoke Bangaihen "Unmei no Hito" (Kimi ni Todoke Spinoff: Soulmate) spinoff manga in Bessatsu Margaret. She has been avoided for so long that she no longer understands the concept of establishing friends.

Kimi ni Todoke Live-Action Reveals Cast Visual Teasers and ... (CBR)

Netflix's upcoming live-action adaptation of the popular shojo manga, Kimi ni Todoke, unveils a number of key actors, in addition to the release date.

Mikako Tabe (Living In the Sky) and Haruma Miura ( [Anime News Network](https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2023-02-06/live-action-kimi-ni-todoke-show-reveals-more-cast-march-30-global-debut/.194598), Kimi ni Todoke will debut on the streaming platform on March 30. The series has also received a previous live-action adaptation in the form of a film, directed by Naoto Kumazuma, which debuted in September 2010. A new promotional poster features Sara Minami (Ride or Die) and Oji Suzuka (The Tunnel to Summer, the Exit of Goodbye), the lead actors that will star as Sawako Kuronuma and Shota Kazehaya, respectively. Hayato Miyamoto (Takane no Hana-San) is writing the script. Because of this, she spends most of her life alone until the day a kind boy named Shota Kazehaya notices her and talks to her.
