He suffered the knee injury in the Eastern Conference semifinals for the [Philadelphia 76ers](/nba/team/_/name/phi/philadelphia-76ers), who eventually traded him to the Grizzlies. Cleveland president of basketball operations Koby Altman and coach JB Bickerstaff sold Green on the opportunity that exists to bolster the Cavs' bench as a 3-point shooter and defender.

Green is set complete a buyout with the Houston Rockets.
