Down by a set and a break, Krejcikova managed to get the break back in the fifth game. After absolutely dominating the first set, Sabalenka also broke Krejcikova in the fourth game of the second set to open a 3-1 lead. On Thursday, 30th-ranked Krejcikova recovered from a set and a break down to beat second-seeded Aryna Sabalenka in the Dubai quarterfinal 0-6 7-6 (2) 6-1.
