Xiaomi thinks that anybody will buy it in Europe with that price? Xiaomi 13 Pro will be almost as expensive as iPhone 14 Pro. [indlvarn, 1 hour ago](#2663955)Xiaomi 13 Pro will be almost as expensive as iPhone 14 Pro. And Xiaomi just doesn't have that. And Xiaomi keeps forgetting that. Small ones, but it's constantly "something" that gets on your nerves and when you're paying this much, you expect better. I don't care what kind of specs they throw at the thing, it's just not polished the same, doesn't have software support on same level, doesn't have tech support on same level and it just doesn't work as well as they are full of glitches. Xiaomi 13 Pro, which sports a camera co-engineered with German camera maker Leica, is now making its global appearance at the MWC 2023.
Other cameras on the Xiaomi 13 Pro include a 50MP telephoto camera, which uses the 75mm Leica floating telephoto lens and it also comes with OIS. The phone has what Xiaomi calls a 3D bio-ceramic back with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus on the front. The Xiaomi 13 Pro also comes with a 32MP in-display selfie camera as well. The third camera is a 50MP ultra-wide camera with a 14mm Leica Lens system. Xiaomi is using the faster LPDDR5X + UFS 4.0 storage on the phone. This is a dual-SIM smartphone with Wi-Fi 7 capability, NFC, Bluetooth 5.3 and support for 5G. One major challenge for Xiaomi was how to bring the signature camera lens experience that Leica is known for to the smartphone. Xiaomi is using an LTPO 3.0 screen with the phone’s refresh rate going automatically from 1Hz to 120Hz, depending on the content. According to the brand, the efforts with Leica to create the camera experience on the Xiaomi 13 Pro have taken more than a year. This sensor was also seen on the previous Xiaomi 12S Ultra. According to Xiaomi executives, Leica was involved in the camera’s hardware, software and tuning as well. You can still distinguish between those, but our end goal is to blur the lines between the two,” Marius Eschweiler, Vice-President, Business Unit Mobile at Leica Camera AG

Alongside the Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro, the Chinese smartphone maker announced the Xiaomi 13 Lite. As for pricing, the Xiaomi 13 Pro will retail for €1,300, while the Xiaomi 13 will cost €1000. Lastly, with digital car key support, you can use the Xiaomi 13 or 13 Pro to unlock your car using your phone or share the digital key with your friends or family. The Xiaomi 13 series go on sale starting March 8. So, you can get your Xiaomi 13 or 13 Pro repaired at any authorized Xiaomi service center worldwide for free as long as the standard warranty is not void. The main highlight of the Xiaomi 13 Pro is its rear camera setup. Using built-in Leica filters, the Xiaomi 13 Pro can simulate the looks of classic 35mm, 50mm, 75mm, and 90mm focal lengths. You also enjoy international warranty on the Xiaomi 13 series in over 40 markets. As for the Xiaomi 13, it features glass panels at the front and rear, sandwiching its aluminum chassis. Further, the company is bundling 2TB of Google One storage for six months and YouTube Premium access for the same duration for free. [the Xiaomi 12S Ultra was unveiled](https://www.androidpolice.com/xiaomi-12s-ultra-revealed-with-massive-1-inch-50mp-leica-camera/) with a 1-inch Sony IMX989 50MP Leica-branded shooter, but it was limited to China. The Xiaomi 13 is a great-looking phone, with a smaller chassis and impressive specs. We've been putting it to the test.
It's not a bad OS, it's just very different to what we're used to, and some of the design choices are puzzling. We're happy to see a telephoto lens on this phone, it's one of the very few compact handsets to feature one. The speakers are quite good on this model, with a decent amount of bass response and plenty of clarity. The main 50MP shooter and the 32MP selfie camera are the highlights, but the auxiliary lenses are useful in their own right. If you're familiar with MIUI, then you'll have a good idea of what to expect with the latest version. It performed well overall, with no major bugs, but it's a little heavy-handed with the battery-saving measures. The resolution is lower than the display of the Xiaomi 13 Pro, but we think this is a great decision on Xiaomi's part. We found it to be great for most of our daily activities, but it was a little cramped for extended gaming sessions. On the base, there's a USB-C port and sim tray, along with a speaker grille. MIUI allows for much more granular control of colour reproduction than the majority of Android skins, so if you're sensitive to such things, you'll be pleased with the level of configuration on offer here. And it's small enough that the phone can sit on your desk without wobbling about like a rocking horse. If you're looking for a smaller flagship, this is the one to beat.

The standard model comes in black with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage for £849. Xiaomi is also elevating the design somewhat with a 3D-curved ceramic body for a pleasant feel in camera mode. The standard model is no slouch either, with a 4,500mAh battery that offers 67W wired charging and the same 50W wireless replenishment. Both the standard and Pro models have a “create in The company is also promising lower power consumption from the AMOLED tech deployed. Beyond the camera systems, both phones have it where it counts, running on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC.
Xiaomi's new flagship is a serious competitor to top Android phones, with tons of power, all the features you need, and a great camera.
If the Xiaomi 13 Pro is reasonably priced (for example, the Xiaomi 12 Pro started at $999), it will be a very strong competitor to any Android flagship out there. On default settings, the photos come out very detailed but soft and slightly washed out, which is pretty easy to fix in the settings. Digging through the phones' specs reveals the reason: Despite the identical 50 megapixel count, the telephoto camera has been upgraded from a 48mm to a 75mm lens, and it now offers 3.2x optical zoom (compared to 2x optical zoom on the 12 Pro). In daylight, the iPhone's telephoto camera took slightly sharper photos, but I preferred the far more natural look of the photos I took with the Xiaomi. It's a sound system, at least on paper, but the camera performance of Xiaomi phones was a bit uneven in recent years. I was most impressed with the telephoto camera, which I used to take some incredibly sharp shots in the dusk. The Xiaomi 13 Pro runs on the latest version of Xiaomi's Android skin, MIUI 14.0.11, with Android 13 underneath. Outside of price, this means that this phone's camera quality will likely determine whether the 13 Pro is a true competitor for Samsung's mighty Galaxy S23 Pro and Ultra phones, as well as Google's Pixel 7 which don't boast a very high megapixel count, but win on Google's image processing power. The unit I got is black all over, and if I'm being generous, I could compare the look and feel to that of a luxurious black limousine. The display is a 6.73-inch, 120Hz AMOLED with a 3,200 x 1,440 pixel resolution (you'll have to turn it on manually in the settings; the phone defaults to a lower resolution to save battery life). Software is traditionally the part in which phones from Xiaomi (and most other Chinese manufacturers) don't feel very premium, mostly because they come loaded up with crap that you probably don't need. The sound is good but not nearly as loud and punchy as the sound coming from the iPhone 14 Pro Max.
The Xiaomi 13 Pro features a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, 12GB RAM, and up to 512GB of internal storage. When it comes to the design, you're ...
As for release, the Xiaomi 13 Pro looks to be an international product, while the Xiaomi 13 be only available in certain regions. For the most part, both of these handsets look amazing and unlike some other companies, Xiaomi is offering a standard and Pro model for its handsets, giving people options. One thing to note here, is that Xiaomi states that the official megapixel count is actually 54MP for the main sensor, but the actually usable area is 50MP. Now, as you might expect, the Xiaomi 13, isn't going to be as impressive as its Pro model sibling, but it still offers plenty of features to get excited about. As you might expect, you're also going to get a front-facing camera, with the Xiaomi 13 Pro coming equipped with a 32MP shooter. As far as the rear, the main focus is going to be the triple camera, featuring a 50MP main sensor, 50MP ultrawide, and 50MP telephoto sensor.

For more details on the Xiaomi 13 Pro, take a look at the specs chart below. The Xiaomi 13 Pro is slated for a global release. The Xiaomi 13 Pro has three 50-megapixel cameras on its rear, which were co-developed with Leica. The main camera uses the same 1-inch-type Sony IMX989 sensor found in the Xiaomi 12S Ultra, which means it's among the largest image sensors found on any phone. The Xiaomi 13 Pro has an IP 68 rating, which means it's essentially dust- and waterproof. I spent a day testing the Xiaomi 13 Pro, which delivers a solid Android experience packed in a sleek device with premium build quality.

Yes, the design is based on the Civi 2, but the hardware is not the same. The 13 Lite will cost half as much as the Xiaomi 13.
For example, the Civi has a dual 32MP camera on teh front and only one of the two has a 100° lens. The Xiaomi 13 Lite has a curved 6.55” AMOLED display. The camera also has a FoV of 100° and will automatically adjust the framing of the shot for group photos. The 32MP selfie camera has made a new friend, an 8MP depth sensor. Moving on to the camera, the Xiaomi 13 Lite uses the 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor that we have seen in a number of premium phones. This is a sequel to the 12 Lite from last, this installment brings performance and camera improvements.
