NBA Odds: Rockets-Trail Blazers prediction, pick, how to watch (ClutchPoints)

Two teams desperate for a win meet in the West. Check out our NBA odds series for our Rockets-Trail Blazers prediction and pick.

Dame Lillard will have to provide the scoring for the Blazers while looking to his teammates for help. To beat the Trail Blazers, the Rockets will have to focus on the defensive side of the ball and stopping Dame Lillard. The Rockets will have to be diligent in closing out on the Blazers’ shooters and contesting three point shots. They’ll both be out tonight, so the Rockets will have to look towards other role players to fill the gaps and provide some scoring in lieu of their absences. The Houston Rockets sit at last place in the Western Conference and are looking like the favorite team to contend for the No. They haven’t had a bad season by any means, but with how tough the Western Conference is becoming, the Trail Blazers will need to win games fast to avoid getting left behind.

The opportunity to see performances like this one keeps the Moda Center packed every night, as Lillard has been one of the lone bright spots during a difficult Blazers season. Damian Lillard had a mind-bending 41 points in the first half—in just 19 minutes—against Houston at the Moda Center, sending the crowd into a frenzy with each of his eight three-pointers as Portland cruised to a 73-58 halftime lead.
