Soucek doesn’t and plays the ball inside to Berahma, who advances and fires a diagonal effort past David De Gea into the top corner. Under pressure from Nayef Aguerd, Fernandes swings a foot at the dropping ball but is unabvle to make contact. 62 min: Michail Anotnio takes on and beats Lisandro Martinez down the inside left, canters forweard and shoots at David De Gea from a narrow angle when he had two an option to his right in Said Benrahma. If they didn’t have one, the referee has to let the goal stand and it’s no more than West Ham deserve. 81 min: Alejandro Garnacho goes to ground in the West Ham penalty area as he cuts in from the left, apparently shovedd by Ben Johnson. Tomas Soucek does well to keep the ball in play out by the left touchline. Emerson’s delivery is half-cleared but West Ham win a throw-in deep in United territory.

[54th min: GOAL!] West Ham open the scoring through Benrahma. With extra time looming, United youngster Alejandro Garnacho stepped up in the 90th minute as he curled home a brilliant effort worthy of winning any match. West Ham would also strike next but this time at the wrong end as a Bruno Fernandes corner was accidentally nodded home by Nayef Aguerd. West Ham proved worthy midweek opposition but United's substitutes made all the difference late on as they finished much stronger.
