Green didn’t get to play many minutes, but he had a strong impact in the minutes that he did play. He beat the Mavs with his athleticism in transition, and also with his smooth play in the half court. He’s not only playing the best ball of his life, but he’s playing some of the best ball on the Warriors ... Both players are dealing with injuries, which may impact their conditioning, defensive effort, and offensive efficiency. Handing Doncic and Irving extra possessions is a death sentence, especially for a road defense that already acts as a traffic cone. To put that into perspective, that would rank as the worst Defensive Rating in NBA history. Jordan Poole may be unplayable here given how Doncic and Irving will relentlessly hunt him, and Dallas’ three-point shooters mean Green and Looney must sacrifice open looks to rotate to help.
