NBA best bets: Best prop bets for Kings vs. Suns (Yardbarker)

We've got a potentially high-scoring matchup on our hands as the Sacramento Kings host the Phoenix Suns in a fun Western Conference matchup.

Now, playing against the Suns, who are without Ayton, Sabonis has the potential to get back on track covering this prop. Also, this is the best value prop we get tonight. What he’s done this month has been both needed from the Suns and impressive. He’s averaging 34 points per game in March, and we’re well into the back end of the month. I don’t see all three of those happening simultaneously, and if the Kings play their brand of basketball, they should be able to cover this spread with ease. With the Kings having taken a recent stride, while the Suns have done quite the opposite, this game looks like it will be going in the favor of the Kings.

Suns vs Kings Picks and Predictions: Ailing Suns Stack Another ... (Covers.com)

NBA odds, picks, and predictions for the Phoenix Suns at Sacramento Kings on March 24. NBA betting best bet and free pick analysis.

The Kings also rank 26th in defensive rating (116.3). They are 25th in the league in opponent 2-point percentage (56.6%), while ranking 28th in opponent 3-point percentage (37.4%). Here are my best free [NBA picks and predictions](https://www.covers.com/picks/nba) for Suns vs Kings on March 24. The Over is 7-1-1 in their last nine games despite Durant sitting out eight of those contests. The Kings have still looked very impressive over the last few months, going 23-11 straight up (19-14-1 against the spread) with a net rating of +3.9 in their previous 34 games. That has led to Sacramento pacing the NBA with 120.9 ppg, but also ranking 28th in scoring defense with 118.5 ppg allowed. Ayton has missed the last two games with a hip injury, and won't be back until Monday at the earliest. With just 10 games left in the regular season, they have a comfortable five-game lead on the fourth-place Suns. They haven't looked good on the road all season, going 15-22, and now travel to Sacramento to face a Ayton is the team's only true starting caliber big man, and puts up 18.3 ppg on 58.9 FG% while adding 10.1 rebounds per game. Both teams enter this content on a two-game skid, and will look to get back in the win column as they jockey for playoff positioning. But it's clear that they've taken a step back from last year's team, and regression on defense and poor bench play have been major factors.

Jim Turvey previews how to bet Suns vs. Kings, including updated odds, picks & predictions for Friday's game.

The content on this page is for informational purposes only. Not in terms of whether I want to be on the Kings side of this spread or not, but in regards to a player prop. For the spread, I am going to be looking to the alt lines, because as I noted before, I could see this one getting out of hand. We may be compensated for the links provided on this page. The Kings revolve around the dribble-handoff 3-pointer, and when Huerter is in the lineup, there are only so many of those opportunities from Murray. If he is, this is a full unit play for me. For player props, I like Murray, but only if Huerter is officially not playing. The Kings have nearly a clean bill of health, but with Kevin Huerter questionable, there’s one player whose stats will pivot on Red Velvet’s status. The Kings currently hold a five-game lead in the Pacific Division, and with 10 games remaining, that’s basically bullet proof. Keegan Murray has been by far the biggest beneficiary of Huerter being out of the lineup. As of writing, Huerter is questionable, but if he sits, look to Murray. These Suns are a perfect example.

Kings-Suns gameday live: Major playoff implications; Durant, Ayton ... (Sacramento Bee)

Sacramento Kings vs. Phoenix Suns at Golden 1 Center: Time, TV, odds, injury report; Kevin Durant, Deandre Ayton, Kevin Huerter updates.

Booker scored 44 points to lead the Suns to a 122-117 victory over the Kings on Nov. Durant appeared in only three games for Phoenix before going down with the ankle injury, averaging 26.7 points, 7.3 rebounds and 3.7 assists. Harrison Barnes scored 19 points to lead seven players in double figures for the Kings, who had a 65-34 advantage in points off the bench. He has knocked down a sizzling 56.6% from beyond the arc in March. Closing that gap over the final two weeks of the season wouldn’t be easy, but the Suns would then hold the tiebreaker based on their 3-1 advantage in the season series. If Phoenix wins on Friday, the Suns would move within four games of the Kings for the No. The Kings would then gain the tiebreaker advantage over the Suns by virtue of their conference record. Ayton, who has a right hip contusion, hasn’t played since March 16. He had 32 points in a 120-109 win over the Kings on Feb. If the Kings win Friday, they will have a six-game lead over the Suns with nine games remaining, all but assuring them of no worse than the No. Huerter participated in Thursday’s practice and is considered questionable for Friday’s game. The Suns (38-34) are fourth, five games behind the Kings.

Kings observations: Kevin Huerter scores 29 in return, ignites win vs ... (NBC Sports Bay Area)

After missing the last three games with a right leg injury, Huerter returned to the lineup for Sacramento and showed just how much the team missed him. TRENDING ...

The momentum stayed with Sacramento as they were able to outlast the four-seeded Suns. The Kings, who also didn’t shoot the 3-ball well, took a page out of Phoenix’s script and duplicated it later in the game. And then they found their way back to the charity stripe quite frequently from that point on. That late first-half spark ignited again in the second, as Huerter exploded with 16 points in the third quarter. After being outscored 30-24 in the first quarter and 37-32 in the second, the Kings pulled the plug at the half. After being held scoreless in the first quarter and throughout the first 10:28 of the second, Huerter found his groove and scored seven straight points in the final 1:32 to close out the half.

Phoenix Suns lose cool again, drop 3rd straight vs. Kings (Arizona Sports)

No matter how well they play at the moment, the Phoenix Suns seemingly can't avoid losing control of a game at some point in the second half.

Sacramento only had four free throws in the first half and Phoenix was doing an excellent job of not fouling. It was baffling to watch them lose themselves in the officiating that quickly in Sacramento of all places, an incredible homecourt advantage for the NBA’s No. It has to be said that the epic tailspin was a direct byproduct of the actions of its two on-court leaders, Booker and Paul. The Suns missed two free throws on their trip and Torrey Craig disagreed with a loose ball foul he got fighting for a rebound. Guard Devin Booker spent the start of one possession walking up the court with an official to protest a call. This one followed many headlines about the officiating and Phoenix’s recent free-throw woes on both ends, including a fine for head coach Monty Williams when he said the whistle in Friday’s loss to the Los Angeles Lakers was not fair.
