The experts predicted a victory for the Chicago Bulls, but it's no sure thing at this point. They currently hold a 2 to nothing lead over the Atlanta Hawks.

The victory came about thanks to a strong surge after the half to overcome a 68-53 deficit. They will take on the Chicago Bulls on the road at 8 p.m. Meanwhile, the Memphis Grizzlies typically have all the answers at home, but on Sunday the Bulls proved too difficult a challenge. Chicago hasn't had any offensive standouts so far with all players held to zero points or fewer. They currently hold a 2 to nothing lead over the Atlanta Hawks. This Tuesday, the Atlanta Hawks are hoping to patch up the holes in a defense that has allowed an average of 118.08 points per contest.

Another Hawks player to keep an eye on tonight is forward Onyeka Okongwu, who is coming off his 31st multi-block game of the season after finishing with 14 points, five rebounds and two blocks in 21 minutes off-the-bench against Dallas. Dejounte Murray arrived in a trade with the Spurs last summer, and he’s meshed perfectly with Young running alongside him. The Bulls have been one of the NBA’s top defensive teams this season. Offensively, it’s very important Chicago continue to freely skip the ball to get everyone invested and involved in the action. Chicago trailed 61-38 at the 5:07 mark in the second quarter but by the end of the afternoon, the Bulls ended up with a 21-point blowout victory in its back pocket. Against the Mavericks, Murray led the charge with 25 points, seven rebounds and four assists while Young was right behind at 24 points and 12 assists. Thus for Chicago to win again tonight, they’ll have to hit the floor with the same unselfish and hardnosed attitude they displayed Sunday. When all the dust settled, Chicago outscored Memphis 75-39 in the second half to post a 128-107 victory. All-in-all, the Bulls scored 31 points off 18 Memphis miscues while not allowing the Grizzlies to cash even one point off three Chicago fumbles. Chicago recorded nine steals and four blocks after halftime and forced the Grizzlies to commit 16 turnovers. With Chicago having lost two of three head-to-head matchups against the Raptors, Toronto holds a tiebreaker with the Bulls. But instead of waving a white flag, Chicago, gritted its teeth and got down to business, employing some of the best defense any team in the NBA has displayed this season.
Pretty close to a must-win for the Bulls if they want the 8th seed. Let's get a win.
Get out to a fast start and don’t give the Hawks a chance to settle in. They have a good chance to control the pace. While the stars being stars has been huge to the Bulls’ run, White’s emergence off the bench has been almost every bit as vital. So a whole lot is at stake tonight at the United Center. Kenny Ducey previews how to bet Hawks vs. Bulls, including updated odds, picks & predictions for Tuesday's game.
While this one with the Hawks and tomorrow’s game against the Bucks will be tough, Chicago at least gets to finish the season out with the Mavericks and Pistons. With Chicago entering with slightly more to play for, and as the home favorite, I do think it will emerge victorious here. The good news for the Hawks is that they will finish ahead of the Raptors if they manage to finish with the same record, as they would if the season ended today. As a result, the Hawks are 5-5 over their last 10 and have to be fearful of seeing Philly and Boston on the calendar in the coming days. The last time these two sides met, The under was set at 240 and cashed easily in a 111-100 final. Despite this, the Over has actually cashed in five of the last six Bulls games. So, there’s much to play for here when it comes to the Bulls. A win against Chicago is vital to locking up a 2-2 finish with the Wizards coming up next before the two behemoths. It’s anyone’s guess what this means, but I’ll drop a line about it in the interest of avoiding any surprises. It doesn’t seem likely they’ll make up the two games required on Miami to move up to the seventh seed, particularly when you consider the Heat own that tiebreaker, and even if the Nets were to fall into a tie with the Hawks in seventh, Brooklyn also owns the tiebreaker over Atlanta. Let’s figure out what the best way to bet this one is in our Hawks vs. One of their toughest tests down the stretch will come on Tuesday night when they meet the Atlanta [Hawks](https://www.actionnetwork.com/nba/odds/atlanta-hawks), who sit eighth in the conference.
Expect tonight's matchup between the Chicago Bulls and Atlanta Hawks to have a playoff atmosphere as both teams jostle for position in the play-in tourney.
From there, the Bulls will be given the chance to play either the Heat (who lost all four meetings against Chicago this season) or a Nets team that has struggled to stay afloat in the absence of Kevin Durant. - In games against the Bucks, Celtics, 76ers, Cavaliers, Knicks, and Heat, the Bulls hold a 10-11 record, while the Hawks hold an 8-12 record. If both the Bulls and Hawks win out, their Conference records would remain tied, but with Chicago still set to play Milwaukee while Atlanta has Boston and Philadelphia on their schedule, that remains unlikely. If the Bulls lose tonight, they’d still have a small chance at climbing back down two games, provided they win the rest of their three games and Atlanta drops a couple before the season concludes. This will be their fourth and final meeting of the season, after Chicago claimed victory in two of the previous three games. This momentum has carried the Bulls to a 12-7 record since the All-Star Break, which is an enormous improvement over their record of 26-33 before the addition of Patrick Beverley.
