Recently, two amazing graduates from the Technological University of the Philippines-Visayas (TUP-V), Kristine Magbanua and Gritchen Pontino, made headlines by ranking second and third in the Chemical Technician Licensure Examination. Their hard work and dedication have earned them well-deserved recognition as they pave the way for future chemists from the Visayas region. Alongside TUP-V's rising stars, the Professional Regulation Commission has announced the results of the October 2024 Chemists and Chemical Technicians Licensure Examinations. Out of 1,088 candidates, 592 became certified chemists, while an impressive 2,110 out of 2,711 passed as chemical technicians. These numbers highlight not only the dedication of aspiring chemists but also the rigorous standards of the licensure process in the Philippines! From provinces to cities, students nationwide are demonstrating that science is the future, and they are determined to be a part of it.

Among the other shining schools, the University of Santo Tomas (UST) also produced 44 new chemists with a passing rate of 61.97%.
